Sarah Morin is a writer.

Sarah has been writing ever since she could hold a pencil -- though she did not produce anything coherent until she actually learned how to read. As a child, she wanted to be an artist. To prepare for this career, she authored and illustrated several charming books. But as she grew older, her artistic skills sadly did not keep pace with her talent for writing. That is why she does not write children's fiction.

Paranormal fiction -- with liberal doses of romance! Whether Sarah's stories take place in cobwebbed Victorian mansions, prehistoric tropical islands or modern college dorms, they always have these two elements. There is also usually some hidden mystery and/or twist to be revealed, though her stories are not mysteries, per se.

Honestly, Sarah doesn't know where she gets her ideas -- they just seem to pop into her head. She will reveal that the magic dream fairy who visits her every night is quite helpful in that regard.

But of course! To name a few -- Richard Matheson, Christopher Pike, Stephen King, R.L. Stine, L.M. Montgomery, Nell Gavin, Edgar Allan Poe. If Sarah thinks of anyone else, she will let you know.

So far, Sarah is a member of the Connecticut Authors and Publishers Association (CAPA) and the International Women's Writing Guild (IWWG). She would also like to take this opportunity to give a hearty shout-out to the Fabulous Fictional Five Writers' Group, of which she is also a member.

Like many writers of fiction, Sarah also has a day job -- she is a writer in the Donor Relations Department at the UConn Foundation.

Sure! A native of Massachusetts, Sarah currently lives in Connecticut with her husband Chris.

She has no pets.  Her red betta fish, Steve Irwin, joined his namesake in that big fishbowl in the sky the day before Easter in 2008.  Her blue betta fish, Eric (named after the Monty Python skit, of course), joined his comrade in April 2009 (insert your favorite "dead parrot" joke here).  A pink glass bottle that once contained hana-awaka sake now sits on the counter; Sarah finds this item much easier to clean and maintain.
